Merriam Theatre | Philadelphia, PA
Our team at KieranTimberlake was hired by the Kimmel Corporation of Philadelphia to conduct a feasibility study for restoration of the historic Merriam Theatre and construction of a residential high-rise above. To do so, we considered the tight urban footprint, parking limitations and impact on condominium price-point, residential views, historic limitations, ADA requirements, MEP system upgrades, structural upgrades, and impact on Philadelphia’s skyline. Our team utilized point-cloud data collection of the existing structure, BIM-aided take offs and cost estimation, survey of local utility infrastructure, and collaboration with local developers to advise the Kimmel Corporation on potential ROI.
